The Rehabilitation Process

Appointment

You can enquire about an appointment via this website, email or phone me directly.

I work from my home office in Omokoroa. Under special circumstances I may do home visits within the Tauranga/Katikati area.

Veterinary referral is not mandatory but is certainly preferred. A correct veterinary diagnosis resulting from thorough investigation, possibly followed by medical treatment or surgery is important for the development of an individualized physical therapy program. I will liaise regularly with your veterinarian to ensure continuity of your pets care.

Initial Assessment

My initial assessment includes:

  • a thorough rehab exam of your pet
  • discussion about goals and potential outcomes
  • treatment using techniques depending on your pets disease or condition
  • diet and supplement advice
  • provision of individualized home exercise program ( including photos and videos).

This first appointment can take up to 90 minutes and a summary of the appointment and the exercise programme (including videos) will be emailed to you afterwards.

Treatment Options

I'll provide an individualized rehabilitation plan for your pet using a combination of treatments and home exercise programs.

  • Manual therapy

  • Therapeutic massage

  • Acupuncture

  • Elektrotherapie ( TENS/ NMES)

  • Laser Therapy

  • Therapeutic exercises and home exercise programs
